Sunkist Packing House

(Anaheim Packing House - Anaheim Packing District)

While the creation of the food hall largely reimagined the interior of the building, the main entrance on Anaheim Boulevard is largely unchanged. Designed in a mission revival style, two squat towers topped with domes flank the wide staircase leading to the arched doorway. All the stucco work remains unchanged despite the new tenants, including the Sunkist orange relief above the doorway. The reuse of the building, including train loading docks is a prime example of adaptive reuse of historic buildings. (2020)
