Shank House

(Huntington Beach Police Station)

Originally a home, but now being used as a police station, this building seemingly draws heavily from the Japanese inspiration behind the craftsman movement. The building’s large porch, deep roof overhangs, varying gabled roofline, and overall high quality of craftsmanship give the building life and intrigue. It seemingly rises and tapers toward the sky, making the building appear taller, and more stately. (2020)
