California Scenario

(Noguchi Garden)

Technically not a building, but rather an artistic installation in a plaza between buildings, this piece earns merit in its own right. Built to symbolize all of California’s ecosystems in one artistic installation, the courtyard accomplishes just that. The fact that the project is so tranquil and imaginative speaks as much to its design as it does to natural California. (2017)
