The Lab

Owned and operated by the same owner as The Camp across the street, The Lab is the original “anti-mall.” The design takes cues from this slogan. Gone are the marbled floors, vaulted interiors, and the same collection of stores. Instead, the shopping center implores discovery. Jutting building corners obscure what lies around the corner. Industrial and intentionally somewhat grungy in appearance, The Lab truly is anything but a traditional mall. (2017)
