Heritage Hall, Garden Grove High School

The original Garden Grove High School classroom building, Heritage Hall suffered significant damage in the 1933 Long Beach Earthquake, including the death of a student. Rebuilt immediately after, the building still serves an important part of the school campus’ everyday life. The soaring and historic art deco details make this building look unlike most classroom buildings in the county. The main entrance alone, with its strong vertical articulations make this one of the most exciting art deco buildings south of downtown Los Angeles. (2017)
