Easy to miss amongst the more gaudy architecture in the immediate vicinity, this fire station’s low profile is part of its charm. Constructed primarily of poured concrete, this brutalist bunker is perforated by rectangular windows at an irregular rhythm. Unlike some brutalist stylings, this building’s smaller stature keeps it humble, more approachable along the streetscape Bright red garage doors provide a splash of contrast, ensuring all passersby understand the purpose of the building.
