Orange County Coroner & Training Facility
This boxy building of injected concrete features a row of boxy wings that jut away from the building toward the street. At the main intersection, the main entrance juts away from the main portion of the building. This square callout structure features molded glass block, and a sunscreen of sheet metal that wraps all the way around. Granted, this may not appear to be the most cheerful of buildings, but given the nature of the work going on inside, the design aesthetic of a secretive and futuristic lab fits the bill. (2017)
