Mission Viejo Library

This library is a building with two halves. The street-facing half is a post-modern building with floor-to-ceiling glass, columns, and arched roofs. The parking lot-facing side is a marriage between the Spanish revival and the post-modern. More contemporary construction techniques allow the building to have perfectly squared off corners and roofline, while traditional columns and bell tower forms invoke a sense of historical significance.
